Household tenure information is obtained from the 2001 Census.In 2001, Herefordshire has a higher proportion of households that own their house outright compared with regionally and nationally. Herefordshire also has a lower proportion of households that own their house with a mortgage and a slightly higher proportion that privately rent their house from a landlord or letting agency.
