STOP PRESS! European Social Fund (ESF) Tendering Round
The Learning and Skills Council has announced a new ESF Tendering round, arising from the shortfall of the allocation of the previous round, towards the following specifications:
Priority 1
Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)
- Skills for Life
Priority 2
- Skills for Life
- Train To Gain Level 4 NVQ
- Tutor capacity building
LSC will send out the tender specifications to organisations which are successful with their Pre Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ). For those organisations who are not successful, but want to be part of the partnership which will deliver the priorities, please contact Peter Ding, Herefordshire Council, Lifelong Learning Manager on 01432 260637.
Herefordshire Partnership is working in co-operation with other European regional organisations to develop greater opportunities to access European funding. Information is provided about European funds which can be accessed for projects in Herefordshire as well as briefings on key areas of European policy and details of Herefordshire's involvement in European regional organisations.
There are changes to European funding on the horizon. The European Structural Funds are the most important source of European Union (EU) funding for Local Authority economic development and employment projects. The Structural Funds include:
- European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
- European Social Fund (ESF)
- European Agriculture Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD)
For the period 2007-2013, we will have access to ERDF and ESF through a new 'Competitiveness' programme which will support business and employment initiatives across the West Midlands; to further ERDF funds through a 'Co-operation' programme for international economic projects; and to EAFRD support through a new Rural Development Programme for England.
